A Child?

We are starting the week with what I think of as a new "chapter" in the story. 

Frugal Meal

 

Suzette and Victor's life was one of frugality.  Here they are, content after a Frugal Meal.  Inspired by a Picasso print.   (Note: frugality involving fresh camembert and baguette never felt like real hardship, really.)

Happy Blur

 

A bit blurry in her memory but a definitely happy time in Suzette's life.

Ah those imps!  Anxiety and self-doubt are especially insistent.   Familiar to anyone?

Mrs. Aplux has been around for a while now.  It's time to switch to first names. 

Green Day!

 

Mrs. Aplux wishes everyone a happy Green Day.  For someone raised in another country, she is quite puzzled by the March 17th frenzy.  But it is hard not to get carried along.  Especially if all you have to do is wear a few green things.  

Later Work

In later years, Mrs Aplux embroidery work often took an abstract feel, mostly inspired by nature's beautiful shapes.

Mrs. Aplux's early training was in Embroidery.  She still enjoys that work a lot although her interests will be evolving over the years.  That is what I understand, anyway. 

To the Library

 

Mrs. Aplux regularly goes to the library to see what's new in the Graphic Novel section.  (She now has acquired some hair.)

I soon found out the Mrs. Aplux likes to read comics.  Common ground here.  

First Appearance

 

Last month this character showed up on my drawing table.  She introduced herself as Mrs. Aplux and I have been discovering her story since then.
